First-person field notes
The mountain taught me to wait.
I’m Mattioli Simone, a mountain and wildlife enthusiast from Trentino-Alto Adige. Through Mountain Fauna Lover, I document alpine nature through digiscoping, skiing, e-bike adventures and cinematic videos.
My world is shaped by silence, patience and observation: the quiet moments before an animal appears, the cold air of winter mornings, the geometry of mountain ridges, and the respect required to enter wild places without disturbing them.
Mountain Fauna Lover is my way of sharing that world: a 360° vision of the Alps, from wildlife and snow to technology, exploration and storytelling. Val di Rabbi and Stelvio National Park are not just locations; they are part of the rhythm of the work.
Alongside mountain storytelling, I am also a software developer. This allows me to combine nature, technology and creativity — building digital experiences that reflect the same precision and curiosity I bring into the mountains.
Observation
Entering quietly, staying distant and noticing what the mountain reveals.
01Movement
Skiing and e-bike exploration as ways to understand alpine terrain.
02Technology
Optics, cameras and software used with precision, never as a substitute for patience.
